At Windsong Doodles we provide more than just the puppy. We work diligently to provide the very BEST start for our pups which lays the groundwork for a well trained dog. Our pups go home confident learners ready to take on their new world.
What makes Windsong different ?
Transparency - You will never wonder how your puppy is being kept during their first 8 weeks of life. We are proud of how we raise our puppies and we are excited to share it all with our clients. I cant tell you how many puppies I’ve purchased from other breeders where I have had to beg for an update or a picture. This isn’t the case with Windsong. In fact, it is our goal to make an entire experience around welcoming a new puppy into your home! We take adorable pictures every week and once the pups are older, we take a video almost every day so you can watch us working through our puppy curriculum with the entire litter. We enjoy seeing the joy of our new families through the content we share and we love seeing the excitement grow as it gets closer to “go home” day.
Our In-Depth Puppy Curriculum - We have taken the Puppy Culture curriculum and have expanded it. We tailor to our clients and their unique needs. On top of completing the first 8 weeks of the Puppy Culture curriculum, our pups are desensitized to firework sounds, city sounds, trash trucks, screaming babies and kids having temper tantrums. We know that you will want your new family member to go everywhere with you so we start car rides on day 10. We then continue each week to make sure your new companion feels comfortable traveling in a car. This helps cut down on car sickness/car nervousness.
Early Socialization- Socialization is the KEY To a well rounded puppy. Windsong puppies are socialized with children of ALL ages, lots of other dogs, and cats.
Communication & Getting our Clients Set for Success- Our entire team is dedicated to making sure we are GREAT communicators so that our clients feel well supported in their new journey with a Windsong puppy.
Raised in our Home with so much LOVE - Because we are a home and not a kennel, our pups are loved on by all the auntie dogs in our home and our kids that range in age from infant through the teenage years. Our pups are comfortable with dogs of all sizes and kids of all ages!
Because of the intentional way we raise and handle our pups, they tend to be outgoing and confident learners, ready to start bonding with their forever family.
An Experienced Team - Windsong is a women ran business. We collaborate with canine experts to bring our dogs and clients the very best in the industry. Our team works together to maintain the health and wellness of each and every dog and puppy in our care. We are constantly continuing our education so that we can be up-to-date on the latest research.
Our Extended Training Program - A HUGE part of what we do is training. We are proud to offer a very thorough training program for those that would like their puppy to have head start with training. If you choose our 2, 4 or 9 week Puppy kindergarten class, your puppy will stay longer to be trained. We have found this to be a huge blessing to many of our families and we are happy to discuss the program in more detail with you.

Our babies are raised with the Puppy Culture program. Puppy Culture is a curriculum for both dog breeders and puppy owners alike, dedicated to raising stable, mentally sound dogs. Our babies are raised using Puppy Culture's protocols such as manding, resource guarding prevention, and biosensory exercises. In addition, we desensitize our puppies to many sounds including but not limited to, heavy metal rock, fireworks sounds, city sounds, and trash trucks.
Doodles are well known “jumpers.” They are super loving dogs who tend to get overly excited especially when people walk through the door. I have found manding (learning to sit for attention from a very young age) cuts down on this negative behavior trait. It is developmentally normal for a puppy to jump up for attention. I ignore this behavior and my pups get zero attention if they are not sitting. Thus they learn at a very young age to sit aka mand for attention. When continued at home the results are astounding. I send each family home with detailed training instructions.
Windsong puppies are high achievers. We start our pups on day 3 with Early Neurological Stimulation. The U.S. Military in their canine program developed a method that still serves as a guide to what works. In an effort to improve the performance of dogs used for military purposes, a program called "Bio Sensor" was developed. Later, it became known to the public as the "Super Dog" Program. Based on years of research, the military learned that early neurological stimulation exercises could have important and lasting effects. Their studies confirmed that there are specific time periods early in life when neurological stimulation has optimum results.

Our babies go home litter-trained!
-At 3 weeks old (yes 3 weeks!) we start potty training your puppy. It is a natural instinct for the momma to push the pups off of their bedding to potty. I split the whelping box in half and started using puppy pee pads and alfalfa pellets at 2 weeks. By 8 weeks my pups are litter trained (with little to no accidents) and it makes potty training at their new home a breeze!
We raise our babies using The Rules of "7"
By 8 weeks our puppies have experienced the following:
Been on 7 different types of surfaces: carpet, tile, linoleum, concrete, wood, vinyl, grass, dirt, gravel, and wood chips.
Played with 7 different types of objects: rope toys, plush toys, big balls, small balls, soft fabric toys, squeaky toys, paper or cardboard items, metal items, and sticks.
Been in 7 different locations: front & back yard, kitchen, car, garage, laundry room, bathroom, kids room, living room, hallway, Vet’s office, and groomers.
Met and played with 7 new people: including children and older adults.
Been exposed to 7 challenges: climb on a box, go through a tunnel, climb steps, go down steps, climb over obstacles, play hide and seek, go in and out of a doorway with a step up or down, run around a fence.
Eaten from 7 different containers: metal, plastic, cardboard, paper, human hands, pie plate, tin pan, frying pan, Frisbee, and elevated bowl.
Eaten in 7 different locations: crate, yard, exercise pen, basement, laundry room, living room, bathroom, and back yard…

Thank you for your interest in our future babies! Please keep in mind ALL DATES ARE ESTIMATES until a pregnancy has been confirmed. It isn't uncommon for a female to cycle later or earlier than expected. Sometimes these ladies have a mind of their own!

Our puppies are priced in accordance with their size and our 2 year health guarantee. A reservation fee is required. Your reservation fee is an assurance to us of your sincerity to own and care for one of our pups
